The challenge
Climate volatility, pathogen pressure, input costs, and resistance challenges are increasing the burden on growers and seed companies. Conventional crop protection remains essential, but the next generation of agricultural resilience will increasingly be delivered through advanced seed traits.
Plants already possess sophisticated innate defense systems. The problem is control. Activating defense at the wrong time, in the wrong tissue, or for too long can divert energy away from growth and yield. Upstream is solving that control problem.
